Plate setter

Do these have a lifetime guarantee and anyone seen one break down the middle? If so anything particular I might be doing wrong? THanks for the help.

Other than dropping, never seen one broke - others might have....

Our first plate setter broke a few weeks after we bought it and our egg.  I pulled it out hot and set it on the back driveway.  A few minutes later it cracked.  No rain or weird conditions.  I think it was a defective cast.  We called up the dealer and they replaced it, no questions asked.
