Hope everybody is having a Merry Christmas and getting time to spend with loved ones, friends and family. Santa was good to me this year, guess I was a good boy after all. Food related goodies included an AR combo, a 5lb verical sausage stuffer and a meat slicer among other things, but the real gift is spending time with my family.

Just threw on that 14lb prime rib I've been asking ?s about all week, on the new AR of course. Gonna monitor it closely so I don't screw it up. Think its about time to pour up some bourbon, watch the egg and wait for the supposeble snow they say is coming. Hope everybody is having a wonderful and safe holiday.

You too griff. I got the rig oval combo So im pretty fired up. Doing 2 racks of bacon cold smoked later with my new amaze n smoker. You won't screw up the PR. it's the easiest cook on the egg. Once you do one, you can do them in your sleep. Now, that bourbon sounds pretty good. Centex headed to the cabinet.

Griff that looks pretty damn tasty, I drove all the way to WYO and got some pretty good snow.
The AR is a great present, the parents came through and got me my Thermapen.

Good looking cook Griff, that wasn't so bad was it?

All this rib roast makes me feel I was shortchanged with the fantastic turkey we had.

Just a suggestion, but for a rib roast with ribs removed (the only way i do them), if you tie the roast you can make them almost round, gives a great edge to edge cook..

Thanks for all the kind words. I couldn't have pulled off the prime rib without the help I got here. I love the way everybody here pitches in and helps each other out when they have questions. One of the reasons I keep on coming back. That and the jokes.
