Thinking about adding a second egg

I have had an XL since May and am thinking about getting a small with Christmas $$. I think it would make cooking steaks Trex method easier; searing on the small, then finishing on the big boy that is already holding at ~450. Is there anyone that has a similar setup that is extremely happy with it, or maybe wishes they hadn't spent $500 on another egg that sits unused?
