any suggestions would be appreciated
i read a bit about other bge cooks - thinking about raised grid - use emile henry pizza stone / to hold roast together / half way through cook add rice stuffing
i have read start temp high - then lower - not sure that would work ?

If I were cooking it I wouldn't start high. 350 is good and don't over cook. The crown roasts don't take that long to cook. At the very most it would be 2 hours. Mine take 1:15 to 1:30 but I don't stuff them.Every day is a bonus day and every meal is a banquet in Winter Springs, Fl !

I just did a 6 lbs rib roast @ 350 for about two hours pulled @ IT of 140.Edina, MN
