From the GWN: A very Happy Thanksgiving to our American Cousins
I wish we had this holiday at the same time. Unfortunately our turkeys freeze to death at the end of October. Hoped that some of my countrymen would join in here. Got the "very big of you" thing too :D
As noted on Fred's post on adult beverages, our family has celebrated both Thanksgivings for years, wife and daughter are planning to go black Friday shopping supporting the US economy. (Good time to thaw out that 2# cowboy cut in the freezer)
As LS says, Y'all have a safe and happy Thanksgiving, eh?
There are 10 kinds of people, those that get binary and those that don't.
Thanks Steve. Us Americans appreciate your salutations.
Too busy to be my usual obnoxious self today. Awesomeness - I ate lunch at Susan Spicer's restaurant - Bayona (never ate there before). Then picked up a keg of Stella Artois and about $150 of additional beer and wine. Just pulled the dark turkey out of the sous vide. Throwing in spar ribs, then breasts tomorrow. Bresaola seems to be drying too fast. Will have pics.
Here's from lunch today. Plus some others. No snow to shovel. Not that sad about it.

Yes on the shrimp. That was my brother in law's dish. I had the scallops. Before that a duck confit salad, before that an olive tapanade, eggplant, caviar app. Bloody mary and a campari and soda w/orange. great meal. Susan Spicer is represented on a show I like called Treme - lots of cooking.

Thanks LS from one who's youth (many laps of the sun removed) was spent just south of the GWN border around 45 miles from Montreal (NY State) and used to head across the GWN border for your October Thanksgiving. Also used to ride the bicycle across the border to a small town and help relieve the local economy from fireworks-arms smuggling at 12 years old. Later we graduated to Moosehead, Labatt's and Molson. Great times.
Thanks for your best wishes LS. Also thanks for popping in on the various threads and offering up your help on various turkey on the Egg questions.
I was thinking of you when I went to Lowes to pick up some 1/2" T's. They were quite low on those and well supplied on other fittings. I was wondering if you single handedly caused a run on 1/2" T across America. ;)

If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you're gonna see some serious shit!
