trouble with MY egg

started using MY egg bout 2 weeks ago. best thing I ever bought but am having a problem getting to use it since my better half found out how easy fantastic the food is coming off the egg. came home each nite this past week ready to fire up the egg only to find it up and glowing slo cooking something the wife had planned. anyone else having this problem? guess I'll have to start saving for second egg LOL. Thanks again for all the info presented here.[p]mel

smokin-mel,[p]Yup, same issue up here. There was a six year gap between her first cook, and her second one, but now I'm thinking she's got the hang of it as she lit the egg up twice last week without calling me for any advice.[p]Good thing we already have two larges... [p]bc

This weekend I had a problem of my own. About 30 minutes after checking the temperature on my small BGE and all was well at 225 degrees, my wife came in and told me that something was wrong with the Egg because the temp was 100. I couldn't figure out how the egg went from 225 to 100 that fast. I jumped up and went outside, only to discover she was looking at the large Egg. Luckily, all was well. Mark
