Weber charcoal holder... anyone ever use this?

Curious if anyone ever used something like this on a large?  I have seen lump partitions for an XL but was wondering if you thought it would be of good use, or even fit on a Large?

    I had these when I had a weber. Don't see why they wouldn't work in an egg. I would think that only one would be useful in a large.

    I had those when I had a Weber OTP but sold it a few months ago. From what I recall they're sized for the 22" kettle and are probably 14+" in length which would be too large to fit on top of the Large BGE charcoal grate. I think it would likely end up suspended mid way down the firebox.

    Their charcoal rail (item 7402) is designed for an 18" kettle, is only 12.25" in length and does fit in a large Egg as shown in this pic but doesn't it attach to anything on the stock grate (maybe would work with a High-Que grate?): Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos I suppose it might help some unattached but it wouldn't take much for the rail to move or tip over.

    Nice tip!  I just ordered them from Amazon.  THE biggest thing I miss about my Weber kettle grill is banking the coals and cooking indirect on one side of the grate and direct on the other side.  I have been mulling over an XL just because of that.  I can't wait to give this a shot!

    I have the fire ring lump reducer for my XL and it works really since it is just the wife and me on most nights.

    Example, would be hot fire contained in the ring and dropping two steaks down for searing right on a gred placed on the ring.  Small area, but a very hot fire.

    Check the ceramic grill store. He has angle brackets that can be configured in many different ways.
