Can someone tell me the best hardwood lump charcoal in Huntsville and where to buy? I normally use Wicked Good that I buy when Traveling for work, but can't find a dealer here.
Thanks,
Jonathan
I usually use Cowboys Charcoal. I get mine at Star Market on Wall Triana/University. They also sell it in Lowes but it's usually cheaper in Star Market. It burns hot if you need it and works great in my egg. Cowboys also comes from Brentwood in Tn so it kinda keeps it local.
According to Google, Huntsville has both Publix and Earth Fare. I have used both of those lumps and think they are OK. And Ace probably has both Cowboy and BGE lump.
I get B&B from Acadamy in Decatur. I didn't know that the Ace on 6th had Wicked Good. I will try that out when my stash runs low. Walmart and Piggly Wiggly's usually have Royal Oak. Home Depot and Lowe's usually have Cowboy. Although a lot of people on here don't like it, I have had good luck with it.
Oh yeah Halsey's in downtown Huntsville has Nature Glow. It worked really good for me.
Star Market carries both Cowboy and Royal Oak (USA). I prefer the RO. Lots of other places sell lump but Ive never been happy with the quality. Of course any Egg dealer will have BGE brand.
