weed burner question

I've put it in "off topic" because it is. Some of you have weed burners. It's wet and cool here in Northern Ca. The weeds are thriving because we have no snow. Snow is only allowed in resort areas. Round Up is a waste of time. Do weed burners work? If so, what's a good one? Starting the lump would be a plus.

There's a lot of weed burning going on in California. (It had to be said

) Moving on to the subject of pest control, killing weeds with fire is only useful when your weeds aren't next to anything you don't want to kill that's organic and/or flammable (like weeds in your lawn, or next to your origami collection, or house). So basically, it's useful for weeds in cracks on concrete. It works.
