We hope you all got to celebrate those tasty food holidays last week, we sure enjoyed them! We are even more excited about the beginning of fall, for so many reasons, but mainly for experiencing the cool, crisp air while being outside cooking up the best recipes the season has to offer. Pork and Sauerkraut (pics)

Start by sautéing a couple onions and a thinly sliced apple in a little canola oil in a Dutch oven Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos In goes the sauerkraut with a beer to simmer for a few minutes- Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos 3lb pork loin roast along with some potatoes joins the party- Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos Smoked (apple chunks) with the lid off....after an hour and a half and some carrots added to the pot then lid on to finish- Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos All done after another two hours of braising with the Egg at 300* Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos Perfect fall meal!
