I started crying at the beginning.  Now I'm just dealing with the PTSD.

I like to pound it to death then dredge in flour and fry.  This recipe will work on BGE if you have a DO or wok to hold the liquid.

     Appetizer, Conch, Fritters, Richard

    INGREDIENTS:
    2 Lbs.    Conch, Ground
2 Whole    Peppers, Red/Green, One Each
    1/2 Bunch    Celery
    1 Bunch    Parsley
1 Can, Small    Water chestnuts, Diced
    1 Large    Onions
    1/2 Tbs.    Garlic, Granulated

    1/2 Tbs.    Onions, Granulated
    2 Cloves    Garlic, Minced
    4 Whole    Eggs
    1 1/2-2 cups    Flour, Seasoning W/Old Bay
    1 Tbs.    Lawry's Seasoning Salt
    1 Whole    Lemon, Juice
    Dash    Italian Seasoning, Dry
    10 Drops    Tabasco

    Procedure:
1 Mix all in food processor and course grind and mix. Make into small balls.
2 Use a beer batter coating and deep fry in 350°F until golden brown, 4-6 minutes.

     Recipe Type
    Appetizer

  • Looks like a good recipe!  So you ground then pound?  I am out of Old Bay, so will have to get some.

I got a wok recently and love it, but still need to master it

These are 2 different recipes. for the pound it recipe I place the seasoning in the flour or batter.  for the grind it one I just season like any batch of ground meat.

Hmmmm.....Gary might be on to something here

"Although people make jokes about it, I'm sure some of the blame goes to alcohol.  Quite a while back, I did a brief study ( not enough for a scientific conclusion) and it seemed more arguments and flames started in the evening and night times.  Granted, more people are probably signed on at that time; still, there may be a relationship. And, you will probably find that in most forums."
