Thanks! I thought the small just made more sense.

Another small hits a home! Woot woot! L/S is a great set up.I think i'll add a Mini soon...especially since I think my wife will start egging if I do.Just a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ....
-
I can def see a mini later on down the road, but it took a lot meals and glasses of wine to get the wife sold on the small. Looking forward to getting them both fired up soon.

I think the large and small pair is great, but I'm having trouble coming up with a good design for a table that accomodates both. I keep coming up with better ideas for two tables.
Seen anything good out there for a combined table?
-
Do you guys have any recommendations for a set up for the small. I don't have a platesetter so any tips would be appreciated.

Congrats. It's like a family now. You have to name them

The line from Dante is actually his JJ interpretation from Ulysses. The real quote was "from his behind he made he made a trumpet or a trombone" God I miss him. Brought a ton to these forums.

Small Woo
10" Stone
13 " CI Grid
In addition, get the spider to use the 13" CI Grid on the large for searing.

Congrats! For an indirect setup, I recommend a few pieces of a broken pizza stone, foil, and a raised grid formed out of a Oscarware disposable topper!Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

I've had my XL since July. I absolutely love it. Every now and again I'll throw an extra slab or two of ribs on and take them to my parents house. They absolutely love them.
We're all going to Tennessee together in a couple of weeks. They were half joking around and asked if I would Egg them some ribs while we're there. Sounds like the perfect excuse for a small to be added soon.
I need something I can take with me and has more cooking space than a mini. Now to convince the wife.

I've cooked twice now on my small and haven't gotten above 650 degrees, is this why the Hi que qrate is recommended ???

I noticed my large ash tool doesn't work very well in the small, what do y'all use to rake out the ash??
-
I'll double check the alignment tmrw Austin, thanks!

I think the medium had an air flow issue but don't remember it with the small. I haven't used either in a couple of years but I know I've buried the needle with the small.

I know BGE makes some and @Mickey got some from Lawn Ranger. The blacksmith who made my stands made me one for my small that works really well.Lowflyer said:I noticed my large ash tool doesn't work very well in the small, what do y'all use to rake out the ash??
