Sorry to hear you'll be on a forced break. Do what you gotta do to kick it to the curb, and this place will be here when you feel like getting back into it. Best of health to you before, during, and after the treatments

I'm back to egging!!! It's been 3 months since I started chemo and radition for my throat cancer. My tastes buds are starting to come back, but the doctors say it may be another 4 to 6 months before they get back to almost normal. At least things aren't tasting like metal and cardboard anymore.

I fired up the egg for the first time, two days ago, just to smell the smoke and cook some bone-in chicken breasts. They didn't taste as good as they smelled to me, but my wife said they were really good. My diet is also going to change some in the future. I guess since I'm waking up every day, I'm officially a cancer survivor now. Thanks to everyone for all the prayers and kind words.

I lost 40 lbs. during the treatment, but I can think of better ways to lose weight.

10 years ago my wife had chemo for breast cancer. She also complained of a "metalic" taste in her mouth. Sucked lemons to provide a bit of relief for that. She's fine now, hair back and appitite back.
