I have been using a Polder for years and the biggest issue is the probe.  My wife bought me a new Polder about a month ago and the probe is already dead, I reverted to using my old Polder and the probe just died on that one as well.

I have been reading a number of reviews on the TW8060 and was thinking about pulling the trigger, what are your thoughts on this unit.

I know it doesn't have a remote sensor but I didn't have one to date and really didn't feel that I was missing out.

If you own this unit what do you like or dislike about it.

TIA

I don't have it, but I know that it will use any type K thermocouple probe with the mini connector - these are industry standard connectors unlike the Maverick, DigiQs and other common probes that use phone jack connectors.

So you can buy commercial quality probes and use it with the TW8060.  Of course, with that quality comes cost.  The TW8060 doesn't come with probes unless you buy it in one of the kits.

After reading the reviews I ended up placing my order.  I will post impressions after I receive it next week.
