If anyone is looking for a place to get different smoking wood this guy is where I get mine. He lives over near the Bass pro shop in Gwinnett Georgia but he will also ship. His website is http://joesbbqwood.com/. The boxes you see in the pic are $10 a piece except apple and peach I believe was $15.

Its nice that he's close. I have posted his contact before that and people that have had it shipped were still happy. There's alot of wood in those boxes and its not any scrap pieces all nice pieces.

That's not bad. Shipping on a large flat rate box is $15.50 So it's still only 10 bucks for the wood.(Cherry)

@cblii I could be way off here but I suspect he means brick and mortar.
I'm not sure if this is better or worse but I've always.been happy with the quality at www.fruitawoodchunks.com

How many pounds in a large flat rate box?
I've used fruita too. Pleased with the quality but the embedded shipping kills. I'd like to stumble upon a nice supply locally.

Shipping isn't too bad for me since I'm in CO with fruita...and I'm out on the western slope a couple times a year so I can pick up there...have only had them ship that one box pictured above.

Yes correct brick and mortar.TonyA said:@cblii I could be way off here but I suspect he means brick and mortar.

Fruita is amazing but I didn't want to thread cap. The difference is fruita is green wood and comes with a free burlap sack. The Joes seems to be seasoned a bit. Forget what level.
Nice to have good wood options. Thanks for the tip @lit

I got green peach from Joe before and I'm pretty sure you can get green wood of any type from him. Last time I met up I asked him for fig and he said the trees still had fruit on them so it would be a couple months. if you live in Georgia his prices are hard to beat. I believe he charged me $85 for the 9 boxes of wood and 2 bags he gave for free.

If I can't get it from Joe's, I usually can from this place. http://www.fruitawoodchunks.com/
