Do you buy fryers or roasters for beer in the butt chicken? I've heard that the fryers are more tender. What say you?[p]Mike

wingfoot,
I would suggest always using a fryer, between 3 - 4 lbs. Bigger than that can definitely be tough. Enjoy!

i suggest using a hen. chicken does not get tough but will dry out if over cooked. use a meat thermometer so you do not overcook

rob,
Try a capon. We cook them exclusively as they are always tender, have a better taste & are a bit larger.[p]Tried the beer can once. I fear the metals & paint. Use Spanek for all fowl.[p]
