The 732 has several improvements regarding ease of programming and value retention when shut off. It is also supposed to have more range. In my particular case, the range has not improved, but I suspect it may be due to the construction of my house. The home is of newer build and may have some metal studs in the interior walls or the aluminum framed storm windows might be the problem. I do like the 732 better however.

I ordered the 73 by accident but it's great for what I need. I've used it for multiple long smokes and while sleeping. I've never had a range problem with it. Completely satisfied.
I have the 732 as it is branded by BGE....my dealer threw in a deal on the unit. Absolutely love it....however one day it just stopped syncing between the transmitter and reciever. My dealer gave me a loaner...an older Maverick to use while he gets me a new one.

He is happy with the 73 cause he uses the Kentucky Jelly for his long and slow.... "smokes"
