Can someone tell what diameter hole BGE cuts in there tables for a medium BGE?

Another thing to consider, the 13" dimension "A" in the plan bigphil referred you to, is barely enough to allow the hinge to clear for a medium.
If you allow the 13" and then sit the egg on a 1 1/2" paver, you will be golden.... The 18"hole is then OK.

that may be designed that way purposely so you cant sit the egg right on the wood would be my thinking . at the end of those plans it says to use a nest or paver as well . wonder how many have set their table on fire by not leaving a air gap

Bigphil - I agree, better safe than sorry, however, it would be nice if they (BGE) would just provide the basic measurements so we, the customers, didn't have to. Not a big issue, it is always great to share info and talk about our favorite cooking "machine".

given the number of folks who choose to build their own table, it would be nice to have specs on size provided by the mother ship..... Then again, I'd never have the chance to discuss with other BGE folks like yourself.....
