OK, we got a little excited because our youngest daughter was coming for a visit. These steaks were definitely eyes-bigger-than-stomach sized.
Ha, we all left more than half on the plate for tomorrow's breakfast. Did a good job on the potatoes and asparagus though.
Done lower grid, 400 and flipped at 5 minutes. Done at 10 minutes. One was a little thinner and worked out well for the spouse (who likes well done). The other two were medium rare. Used EVOO and Dizzy Dust on them.
Potatoes done inside, and the asparagus was marinated in soy, then done raised grid. I lit the lump so the fire was in the back for the steaks.
The set up pic shows salad (which we decided not to do), sour cream with fresh garlic, sea salt, and black pepper, asparagus in soy, and the steaks.
A bigger meal than we usually prepare.
Pics to follow.
