I knew I was going to like this thread before I even opened it.

How about a pic of a slice? I need to see a cross section pic!

Did you put the deep dish stone on cold or did you preheat it?

Hope this isn't one of those pizza school deals, looks great.

  • Deep dish pizza stone from big green egg. Egg was raised direct at 375* for 25-30 mins. Got egg to temp and put stone with pizza in it on cold, no need to pre heat. Now the rest might disappoint but I am a newbie, only had egg for 2 months and really just started cooking. So just wanted to try something easy the first stuffed. So went to papa Murphy's & got 5 meat stuffed pizza. Pepperoni, beef, sausage, Canadian bacon, bacon. But the take and bake was real easy. Hope answered all the questions, but this will be added to pizza night. Couple of regular pizza's with one big meat pie.

So did you sprinkle some dough/cornmeal in the deep dish and then put the pizza in it or did you just stick it on there on the baking sheet it comes with from PM?

    Looks very nice.

  • Just left the sheet it comes with. Still came out real nice. I thought about corrnmeal, might try that next time, see which way I like better. Will have to work way up to try own dough.
