Well i've had my xl egg for a wek now and wishing had bought one sooner. Can't believe how much better things taste cooked on it.. Last night was pizzas, after pizzas were done egg was still warm so I mixed up a chocolate cake mix and poured it into a foil lined dutch oven and on the egg it went. At 375 dome it was done in 35 minutes. Removed from egg and allowed to cool for a few minutes then used the foil to remove from dutch oven, will definately be doing this again cake was a hit! Oh I also made homemade vanilla icecream to go with it.

Better start working out and if you already do, better step it up!Flint, Michigan

Hey Dog, I'm all in on baking in the egg however I haven't done it yet. Dumb question here but my wife and I are discussing baking a cake on the egg in a Dutch oven of which she is almost violently opposed to but how do you get the cake out of it?

Line the dutch oven with a piece of foil that goes up over the top and use the foil to pull it out. Think of the foil as a liner in the dutch oven.Herrin,IL.

Ok, I can see that working. My wife will probable think we are nuts but hey, if it works that's all that matters.
