Best Wood for a Table?

I have recently moved and now have a good backyard/deck setup. I want to build a table as my new house has a built in "tiki" bar out back that I think a table would compliment. I was wondering what everyone typically makes their tables out of? I always click on the new table links and there are awesome designs out there. Durability/price/ease of working with are all factors I am considering. Thanks for y'alls help!

I asked the same question not too long ago. A really good discussion here:

Cypress and cedar are the most popular woods because of price and rot resistance. Lot of more expensive options, and it depends on where you live. The local woods are the most available, and cheaper.

Oh, and they're really soft and easy on tools. IPE is the opposite. If you don't need to move it, you can use concrete, brick, stone or tile for the base and top.
