Beef short ribs. How to cook? Time?

We are going to smoke some beef short ribs today. They are about 2 inches thick and about a foot long. About 6 of these. Planning on 250 dome temp. How long on the egg approximately? 4 hours? Start checking in 3 hours?

    Options
    Maybe a problem.  Wife just got back from the butcher and she got FROZEN beef ribs.  Can I just add a rub to frozen meat and put it on the egg or should I just can the idea put them in the freezer and order pizza from down the street?

    Nevermind - Returning the ribs.  Looks like ordering in tonight now as its getting too late to cook/smoke anything on the Egg.
