@ Cen-Tex-Oak wouldn't be influenced by your use of Ozark Oak lump these days?
I don't think I could have it as my only wood (although that was all we used growing up), but I'm gonna have to step up and throw mesquite in there. I know a lot of you northerners don't like it, but we use it a lot down in S. Texas where it grows like a weed. Hell, what else are you going to do to get rid of it?
and what the hell would we do with that? Line closets, make trunks? naw, I'll stick with mesquite. Not to mention we never have to plant mesquite.

I was just saying if you wanted to get tid of it, justplant a cedar tree and eventually it will be gone. I love mesquite too. was just being a smartass (shocking, I know)
I like apple, well because I have a few in the yard so no cost. But one wood is hard to decide on, because I like oak as well. But I can use apple on anything and like it.
Cherry. Absolutely. Then Pecan.
I love the jack Daniels chips.
After I would pick mesquite with Hickory finishing 3rd for me

Apple. Sweet and fairly mild, works well with pretty much everything. Pecan would be a very close second.
