I notice a lot of you spray your ribs with apple juice during the smoke. Where do you get your spray bottles? You just put regular old apple juice in them?
I use a mop to baste my ribs. But some use apple cider vinegar ,or Jack Daniels, pineapple juice, white vinegar and a dry rub, Dr.Pepper, white vinegar & dijon mustard,The options are endless.Just use your imagination and experiment.
I sprayed my ribs a few weeks ago with 50-50 apple juice and some vinegar. I don't think spraying with apple juice is the way to go, it deposits too much sugar that ends up turning black. Maybe mostly vinegar would be better. Or don't spray. Also, the spray kind of gets all over everything else and leaves residual cooked sugar deposits. So I'm not spraying my pork shoulders this weekend. There, I said it!

I've used cranberry juice pretty successfully - the sweetened cranberry juice cocktail type.
