OK, clearing some things out and thawed a package of salmon. Was bigger than I realized. Did it direct in between 350 and 400 with EVOO, Webber Garlic Rub, and some lemon.
There was some left over applewood chunks in the lump from yesterday's bacon.
Made a lot of smoke, and the chunk flamed up a lot. The rub darkened. I thought it was going to be ruined, but it was just fine, sort of blackened a little. Not a gold star cook, but pretty darned good.
A few pics to follow.

Doc, that looks tasty. I am looking forward to you cook this weekend. I hope your beef ribs come out of the freezer soon.

Oh yea, doc how long did you cook your salmon?

Got the clips from Sur le Table.
The salmon was done direct, raised grid, at 350 to 400 for 10 minutes to a side.
I am leaving state for two week for my daughter's wedding this weekend. Only thing available is a gasser. Gasp.

Not sure what they are, I have no rib experience. Marinating in Dichickos now.

Nicely done, Doc! I'd eat that up right about now.
