I'd like the BGE communitiy's thoughts

Here's my new table. It's been a fun journey to make. I learned a lot and trust me next time I'll do something different.
What I'd like to know is does this look to tall? The table and paver will raise the BGE up 8 inches from where it is on it's nest. I didn't properly prepare for the 5 inch casters, rookie mistake. I haven't put the Egg in the table, but I plan to this weekend. I'm not tall. I figure I can see into the Egg at this new height. If it's to high I'm going to buy smaller wheels, but I can't imagine that making a significant difference. It will be a task, but I am open to the idea of lowering the 2nd shelf significantly. Am I just paranoid or is there any issue with the Egg being so high up?

Now that's an idea. I will have to muster more wood working skills, but I could do that.You can offset the wheels. I'll try to find a pic of that.

I did something similar when building my table. I went to 3" heavy duty caster wheels and cut a few inches off the bottom of the legs before re-I stalling the new wheels. That fixed my problem. Good luck!Athens, GA

I cut 7 inches off the bottom. I screwed a 2x4 to the bottom to give it a base for the wide casters to hook into. I glued each 2x4 then bolted them. I attached the wheels. Then we flipped the table over. Sturdy and true! Let it dry. We loaded in the BGE to sit on the paver and...the 2x4 on one side gave up the ghost and collapsed on one side!So to cut to the chase I just left the wheels off, put the BGE in the center of the deck to look like an island and moved on.
