  Can't compare as I don't own the maverick but the fast read thermo of choice on this board and others is the thremapen.  The next debate will be "which color is fastest?" :)

  Dude, it is a proven fact that flame is the fastest and Brittish Racing Green is defective and does not work in humid conditions

  Cen-Tex, the sale was red, white, or blue so the flame was out of my price range. Plus I don't think I could handle the flames.
