You guys are so lucky in the US, whilst I can source locally produced charcoal the only real options I have is BGE at $32 plus $25 shipping for 2 bags, or we can get the restaurant lump that Fred sells at fred's music and barbecue store, this is around $17.50 for 6 26lb bags including shipping
-
Freds now caries the basque natures own lump which is much better then the Restaurant lump. Also costco has them for real cheap!Cheers! Shawn My Blog: http://hrmcreativebbq.blogspot.com/ My Dads Custom Handles Blog http://dannyscarvings.blogspot.com

JEC23, at that cost I guess I would not be firing up two Eggs almost every night!

My truck will look the same tomorrow. I'm picking up my pallet of Humphrey tomorrow after work. Doc, do you have an Agway in your area? Thy sell R.O. and may offer a volume discount.Mark Annville, PA

You learn to live with the cost a bit like our high petrol (gas) prices!! I do only light one egg though but it's an XL. I'm still better off though I used to have a weber kettle and smokey mountain, the bullet would eat a bag of lump in 8 hours given a chance!! -
I've been ordering Ozark Oak at $10+ per bag with free delivery, still have 6 bags in the garage. But...I've been hearing about RO so I stopped at Wally's and picked up 6 bags, will try soon.

The order from Humphrey has arrived. Picked up the skid today. I told my wife that this should last us through the summer. I split a pallet of 30 20lb bags with Shiff. I kept 20. After shipping, the cost worked out to $16 per 20 lb bag. I'm anxious to try it out, but have to burn up the 1/2 bag of royal oak that I have left.Mark Annville, PA

I've gone through a 40 lb bag of Humphreys in less than a month. I'm going to try a brand from a local store today just because, but I have a feeling I'll be placing another order from them. $37.99 for a 40 lb bag including delivery.Sarasota, FL via Boynton Beach, FL, via Sarasota, FL, via Charleston, SC, via The Outer Banks, via God's Country (East TN on Ft. Loudon Lake)

I'm also anxious to try the new Humphrey's that I got with cortguitarman. We'll be out of town for a few days then I also have some RO left to finish.

That was April, we're now almost through June. Went running short again (3 bags left) so I stocked up. Should have seen the looks and heard the comments when they pulled the pallet out and loaded me up.

Holy cow.....I think you have enough fer a while.....My buddy who was watching my house when I went out of town used my egg (big no-no to mess w/a man's egg). I left him no coal so he tried to burn up all my pecan!!! hahahah I like to keep my 20 gal. barrel by the table full. The last bit of royal oak I got had tree's in it....not chips but full grown logs! I looked a mess when I was breaking up some of them pieces....Hunting-Fishing-Cookin' on my EGG! Nothing else compares!
