The sadness about Dizzy Pig in San Antonio

So I looked up the only dealer in SA that sells Dizzy Pig, Sunset Hardware, which is roughly 45 mins from me. For fathers day my wife said "Lets go and you can get your spices" so we packed up the baby and made the trip. Right by the front door there were bags and bags of Wicked Good Weekend Warrior lump, so I was immediately excited. Walked in and they had several eggs on display, tons of accessories but I couldnt find any Dizzy Pig. The gentleman that came to help said "Oh jeez, you just missed it all. We arent carrying it since it didnt sell, and it was marked down to 50% off. You just missed it."

I was so upset I forgot my charcoal.

Yeah Im going to have to. The shipping really is a bummer though....it almost doubled the cost of the spice.

Shipping costs ! Our's are really high. We even get answers like "...sorry we don't ship outsdide of the United States" By the way I live in the United States, at least the last time I checked. Hawaii

No Dizzy Pig dealer in this state so I just make up my own...

i wish i had posted this sooner and saved you the trip. i went to sunset two weeks ago and got the same answer. they said they discounted the remaining stock at like 60% off, uggh. wish i had known. i do like that store though and plan to go back. as a matter of fact i bought a groupon ($30 for $15) that i plan on filling with wicked lump.

it is easy to make your own, but i'm pretty sure it's difficult to make Dizzy Pig's . just saying.

Yeah it was a cool store, but very expensive.

I found a place online to get Dizzy with flat $6.99 shipping, but they dont have the whole range. I am still on the prowl

I'm also in san antonio and Sunset is the only spot you can get WGC. I bought directly from Dizzy Pig and was satisfied..even after the shipping. The Jamican Firewalk was cracked and they overnighted me a replacement. I said it wasn't necessary...but they just have awesome customer service. :)

BBQ Outfitters here in Austin has a great selection of DP. They also have excellent service. I'll bet they would ship to you and it wouldn't cost much.

Where is Sunset? Never heard of the place... I'm in Helotes and a noob here. I drove to Jeff's Back yard, and then bought my XL BGE at BBQ Galore on San Pedro last Saturday on that fathers day kit deal they had.

Put mione together to save the $60 assembly they wanted to charge. I Shoulda' paid it! LOL

Hey you are right around the corner, I am at Boerne Stage and 10.

I noticed today my dome isnt lined up right, so I will be taking it apart today. Sunset Ridge is a bit of a drive, its on N New Braunfels in Alamo Heights.
