You could go with just about any size if you use a hacksaw and cut the handle off.
What do you mean by "small side handles"? The bigger skillets have a smaller, helper handle adjacent from the standard handle for carrying.
Some Le Creuset casserole dishes have two smaller handles?

my 12" cast iron lodge with handle fits in the large egg just fine. I did cornbread the other day and turned out great. Sauted the corn/jalapenos in bacon fat (in egg) then poured batter right over top. Do you have a small or medium egg, or are you just looking to add more space by cutting off the handle on your large?
Honestly I never even tried to fit it with the handle still on. But I would have cut it for the sole purpose of keeping the footprint down even if it did fit.

A hacksaw makes quick work of it, took me less then 5 minutes.
