New gasket

Got my replacement gasket (Nomex) from BGE this morning. After watching the guitarplayer video, I followed his instructions. I took the dome off and this made it a lot easier. I used 3M Super 77 per instructions except I sprayed the nomex too. Took about an hour after shrinking the nomex in cloths dryer. The old gasket was already off and rims were clean. Old gasket was removed, a few days ago while the egg was hot, making it a piece of cake. Thanks to the video, this was much easier than I anticipated. Going to give it at least a day or two before firing it up again.

Good luck....hope it holds up better than mine did. Sounds like you did it the right way.

Nice job, but it will fail if you do any high temp (pizza / T-rex) cooks or cleaning burns. Next time get yourself a Rutland Ultra Copper combo and never worry about it again.

I'm ashamed what I did for a Klondike Bar!!

Tell me why BGE support told me rutlands put cfc into the meat and that is why they use nomex high heat,
