Just got my approval today for the forum!!  I have had my Large Big Green Egg for about a month and a half now.  I have already learned a lot from everyone on this forum so far, so Thank You!  I look forward to learning more, and hopefully getting some feedback as I learn more and more.

I have not done any low and slow cooks yet (I am itching to do some though).  So far I have cooked wings (5 or 6 times), burgers, brats, scallops, shrimp, lobster, marlin, mako shark, grouper, tuna, a stand up whole chicken, spatchcock chicken, pork chops, chicken breasts, and fajitas. I live 8 bocks away from a really nice fish market that has different specials every week.

I have always loved cooking, but when my father turned me onto The Big Green Egg, I would say that this has and will change my life, kinda funny to say about a grill, but it is true.

Well, Cheers from the Brew City!!!

I want to know, too. I'd guess somewhat coastal. No matter what...welcome!

I hope your right malemodel...now that I reread and pay attention all that (saltwater) seafood in Milwaukee doesn't add up.

Although...I just did a quick Bing search for "Brew City" and a bunch of Milwaukee links popped up. Hmmm?

The Brew city is Milwaukee, WI. Good guess. The fish market close to us is a big wholesaler, but the also sell to the public, and get some really interesting specials.

Can't wait to do some ribs and a butt.

Brew - I was in Milwaukee last weekend for daughter's graduation from MIAD. You must be getting your seafood from the Milwaukee Public Market, at the eastern end. Milwaukee is big on grilling, have seen guys fishing in winter grilling brats. We had a picnic and cooked chicken, burgers, and brats in Juneau Park with crappy little table tops. It was great, though. You're one step ahead of everybody else now having an BGE to go with all the good beer. Cheers!

Just moved my youngest home from UW-M on Friday. He's going to be a Badger next year, but my oldest is still a Panther. There are a lot of great restaurants near campus.

Empire fish market is where I get my fish from. Great little market. The have some real interesting stuff there. Really making me expand my seafood horizons.

Nice to hear you have a couple of panthers in the family, I got my masters from UW-M a few years ago.

It's the same perch we have down here with less pollution :). I know they have cleaned up Lake Erie but I don't recall any of our lakes ever catching on fire. I'll pass.

I've caught and eaten perch from Lake MI and it's the same stuff you can catch in the creek behind the Stagecoach Inn in Salado
