can you use it like a tandoor?

While I have never seen a recipe for it, considering how the BGE is made, couldn't you use it like a tandoor and perhaps make some great homemade Naan in it? Anyone try this?

You can make naan easily in your egg but do it on the grill or stone, I wouldn't suggest doing it on the sides as they just aren't clean enough. The temps won't be as high as a true tandoor but loads higher than you could get in a domestic oven

Thanks--I guess I could just toss it on the pizza stone I just bought!

I've made naan right on the grate and right on the coals too. It was awesome. You can definitely use it "as" a tandoor thoughKeepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

The best naan I've made is with a full load of lump and lava fire. Piggybacked platesetters and do the breads right on the platesetter

In Afghanistan, they kneed the dough with their feet(ew gross)
In Iraq, the most skillfull cooking I've ever seen in my life was the women and their tandoor. The Iraqis did bread different than afghanis. Afghans do naan and the Iraqis made mostly (phonetic spelling) hobus and samoon.Be careful, man! I've got a beverage here. -
So travisstrick, where are the recipes for this hobus and samoon? Any ideas?
