Found this in the bag of Royal Oak I opened last night.  It seems like their quality is going down.

That's nothing.  I had a piece of plastic that I missed in a bag of RO and it ruined my cook, bonded to the firebox and took two cleaning burns to get rid of the smell.  I don't really blame RO, making charcoal isn't the cleanest or most precise process.  Lots of things can get scooped up.

I'm ashamed what I did for a Klondike Bar!!

Have bought Cowboy brand many times because it is the only brand close to home. I have about a 50lb. Rock collection from them

Found something that looked like insulation in mine last night. Seems like the last 2 bags have much more small lump also. What's up RO?

Great reason to NOT dump from the bag into the Egg. I load mine by the handfull regardless of how much I put into the firebox.
  • I have learned to load by hand as well....

I tried a few bags of RO. Gave it a bit of a chance because of recommendations on this site. Have not been impressed. Started using other brands. I'm thinking it's time for a re review.
