Sorry new here, How do I run the wire from the meat to the transmittor, I guess what I need to know is do I just close the egg over the wire or run it thru the daisy wheel? Thanks. I am gettin a maverick wireless probe.

If you are using a plate setter, run the wire over one of the legs, and close the lid.Works fine for me so far.Bx - > NJ ->TX!!!All to get cheaper brisket!

I don't have any problems running the wire between the the lid and the base.

Same here. -
I run the meat probe between the lid and base with no problems. I drop the pit probe in through the daisy wheel (at the same height as the BGE thermometer) to calculate dome temp since that is what everyone references on this site.
