Wireless meat probe

I am getting a wireless meat probe and i was wondering how do I do it on the BGE?

  • Sorry new here, How do I run the wire from the meat to the transmittor, I guess what I need to know is do I just close the egg over the wire or run it thru the daisy wheel? Thanks. I am gettin a maverick wireless probe.

    If you are using a plate setter, run the wire over one of the legs, and close the lid. 

    Works fine for me so far. 
    Bx - > NJ ->TX!!! 
    All to get cheaper brisket!

    I don't have any problems running the wire between the the lid and the base.

    I run the meat probe between the lid and base with no problems. I drop the pit probe in through the daisy wheel (at the same height as the BGE thermometer) to calculate dome temp since that is what everyone references on this site.

  • Thanks everyone I figured that was how to do it but you never know and I didn't want to screw up the brisket this weekend.
