First Time using BGE for a Low and Slow

I just got my BGE last weekend. Used it a few time as a standard grill (BBQ chicken and salmon) but wanted to use my egg for something a bit more challenging this weekend. Any suggestions for good cut of meat for my first attempt? Something that will take 10hrs or less.

Small shoulder or ribs. Both are great and easy to do.XL,L,SWinston-Salem, NC

+1 on the small pork shoulder or Boston Butt-easiest cook in terms of forgiveness. Figure about 2 hrs/# at 250*F calibrated dome and you are good to go.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

My first was a pork loin, but if you do want lower a small pork butt was also a good cook for me.Bx - > NJ ->TX!!!All to get cheaper brisket!

Go lo and slo with a small pork shoulder and enjoy some pulled pork. Remember, start probing at 195 and pull, foil and rest when you have no resistance. Each shoulder is different.

To clarify-low&slow means indirect-so you need a deflector (platesetter or fire bricks or ceramic stone) between the lump and meat being slow cooked. Enjoy and don't panic over the stall in temperature rise that will occur somewhere around 160*F and can last for several hours.
