Woo Hoo, the Easter Bunny is coming a few days early to my house and bringing the largest egg I have ever seen, my XL Egg courtesy of my Wife from Big Green Egg UK, I am so excited I barely slept last night, I'm sure you all understand!!

I just took possession of my first egg to yesterday after a year of dreaming about it. A XL with tons of accessories! I know exactly how you are feeling! I have been dreaming about it for a year.Quebec - Canada

Ah, now that you have one, you can start obsessing on accessories, and cuts of meat.Bx - > NJ ->TX!!!All to get cheaper brisket!

Only 3 things in life matter. Family, Steelers and my BGE!! -
It's arrived!
-
Congrats! Have fun and post some pics of your cooks.

All taken of the pallet, unpacked and ready to go, it's now 9pm in the UK so will have to leave cooking until tomorrow, can't wait!!

You will love being an egghead. I cook on mine 5 to 6 nights a week. Only time I don't is when we eat out.
-
Chugging away right now at 325 after just cooking 6 chicken thighs for dinner, needle not budged at all, well impressed
-
Some pictures for you all off my toy arriving and being unpacked, I had it pre-assembled to save valuable cooking time
As you can see it came really well packed
Put in its new home, nest handler made moving it a breeze
Inside picture, last time that will look so white!
All assembled, it's dark now
Cover on, time to go in, it's 9pm now

Congrats on the Egg. That is a unique fence around the patio, behind the Egg. Is that stone or wood - and how is it held together?
-
It's a stone wall, it's a technique called ditching were the stone is pushed in to the bank, quite popular in rural parts of the UK
-
What???? You left it outside in the cold English rain??? I hope it doesn't melt Mine actually spent the first night at home inside. my wife still mercilessly makes fun of me to this day (i think there was even a crack in there about how she hoped my new girlfriend could meet all my needs). it's been living happily outside for 7 years now with no cover and it still churns out the goodies almost every day. You'll love itKeepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

LOL, My wife calls it my "grill wife" and named it Patty since it sits on the patio, its green, and we got it near St.Patty day.Bx - > NJ ->TX!!!All to get cheaper brisket! -
