Has anyone ever seen this before? My BGE medium has almost an underbite, with the front edge of the dome sitting about 3/16th inch back from the front edge of the base. Anyone know if this can be fixed or if it is anything i even need to worry about?
Thanks
Thanks

Was it always like this?
I would double Check that all the bolts on the straps and hinges are good and tight.
If so, it sounds like something is bent.

Yeah it can be fixed. The hinge band assembly is not setup correctly (common) or it is damaged (rare).

There also marks where the dome and base as to lign up on bands! Make sure they are position correctly and ensure all bolts and screws are nice and tight!Cheers! Shawn My Blog: http://hrmcreativebbq.blogspot.com/ My Dads Custom Handles Blog http://dannyscarvings.blogspot.com

I actually fixed mine last night as I had a big underbite. I watched this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71Jplxn4yAg but I didn't do the washer thing. I just loosened up the appropriate bolts, adjusted the dome, and then tightened them back up and it's much better. I had about 3/4 inch underbite. That's what I get when a dealer does the assembly....Dunedin, FL -
Cowdog and yzzi are right. I've fixed mine the same way. If you don't fix it, it will burn your gaskets up.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

I watched this video and can understand the side adjusment with the washers top on one side and washers on the bottom on the other side but that magic of just moving the hinge back & forward with the crescent wrench just mystifies me. You would think that hinge is going to put it where it wants to. Hmmm!2nd large Egg Nest
