First name is Bill, middle is Ray. When my youngest son was at Ole Miss, we would do baby backs on game day at the Grove. Everyone liked them so much, they said we should open a rib place and we could call it Billy Ray's Lotta Ribs.

There are not too many places I would rather tailgate than the grove. That place is something else.

Jerk chicken is one of my favorite things to BBQ, long before owning an egg.

Also, I have been called a jerk long before owning an egg as well, so there is a double meaning here.

  • I got the nickname Buzzard in high school.  It is always taken, so I attached it to how long my dad says you should deep fry anything," Until it Floats."

Guess it sounds better floating in the sky than in oil.

I was hunting deer a long time ago when it was legal to use dogs to hunt. The dog drivers saw a trophy buck headed to my stand. I got buck fever and missed the deer. Buckdodger became my CB handle.

I picked up the nickname Scooter while living in Texas. Camped a lot, and I always had to do chicken wings on my weber for our "Camping Crew". First name is Scott, someone said Hooters had nothing on my wings, and somebody piped up "Scooter's Wings". The nickname stuck.

I am retired Navy. Did 21 yrs in the Submarine Force. The 759 comes from the hull number of my last sea command. USS Jefferson City SSN-759.
