does everyone use a platesetter when cooking pizza

    XXL #82 out of the first 100, XLGE X 2, LBGE (gave this one to daughter 1.0) , MBGE (now in the hands of iloveagoodyoke daughter 2.0) and lots of toys

    Nope....stone on the bottom of the adjustable rig for indirect and then a stone on top for cooking.

    Not always.  I use the Big Egg pizza stone and pre heat it to 350 or more in the STOVE/OVEN before I put it on the BGE.  This helps cut down egg time ............especially if you use the plate setter.  The stone gets alot hotter of course if you donot use the plate setter so watch the pizza if putting stone directly on grill.
