Question VI, should I order a 16" round or flat bottom from the wok shop? I already have a spider so I need to get this show on the road.Just a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ....
-
I personally like the round bottom. I think the spatula slides easier on it. If you were to cook it on a stove or burner, I'd definitely recommend a flat bottom, but since you have a spider, I'd go with the round.Fun. Pictures please !!!!__________________________________________Dripping Springs, Texas.Just west of Austintatious

And here is the recipe:Fresh oysters on the half-shell. Grate fresh romano and crack black and white pepper on top. Place on hot direct grate. (6-700ish) for a few min untill the juice starts to simmer and the cheese on the shell edges start to brown. Squeeze fresh lemon in each oyster and sprinkle fresh parsley. Option 2: same as before but, add panko bread crumbs and bacon bits prior to grilling. Here is what they should look like.Be careful, man! I've got a beverage here.

I do not like oysters, but I did try a cooked one and it was very tasty. It is still a texture thing for me. Husband and nephew, who do love oysters said they were very good.
The amount of consumed raw vs cooked looked pretty even when I was over there.
Travis it was a pleasure meeting you, your wife and your father.Large, small and mini now Egging in Rowlett Tx -
Please share your specific method for grilling pineapple. Chunks or slabs? Direct or indirect? Sear at high temp or cook at medium temp? Time and temp? Thanks.

Not sure about Travis' method, but we really like grilled pineapple on the Egg. Normally, I just put it on my Firewire flexible skewers, at whatever temp I'm already cooking at, and flip a few times throughout the cook till I "feel" it's done.
This is the only pic I could find showing the Firewires, and it's mostly 'taters, w/ only a few pineapple chunks in there.
P.S. Travis - those oysters look AWESOME!!!!! :-O Makes me wanna get some more & do 'em Drago's style again!!!
Don't get set into one form, adapt it and build your own, and let it grow, be like water. Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless — like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup... Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend. - Bruce Lee -
Gasket still looks like mine. 200 plus hours and no failLET'S EAT

I've only done it once but, it worked well. Cut in slices(rings) and soak in rum for a few min. Coat in Dizzy Pig Pineapple Head. Use high heat (400-600) on direct grate until they soften a little. I got turned onto this by Mickey. Thanks to him.Be careful, man! I've got a beverage here.

This is on a ham and just like Travis said. Most of the time I lay them on the grill.

Here is the pictures from above: I use pineapple head on them and brown sugar and rum
This was just with a ham.
