Cookies on the Grill?

Cookies on the grill? At least that was the dare from my co-workers. After hearing me brag about the BGE's versatility, one disbeliever had to throw down the gauntlet!
I was challenged. Or so they thought. My rusty trap of a brain was already working, though. If any cookie recipe could benefit from a touch of smokey goodness from the charcoal, it was my daughter's Espresso Chocolate cookies! I knew the Egg could do it. The real question, however, could the chef do it? Un daunted, I shook hands and accepted the challenge.
How did it turn out? I haven't brought the cookies to work yet. Right now, the hardest part is hiding them from my family, so that there will still be some to take tomorrow! (Man! are they great!)

Big Tom,[p]I have done them several times, including last years Eggtoberfest! Gingerbread cookies, sugar cookies, peanut butter cookies, they are all great (I'm allergic to chocolate, so never tried anything else).[p]Kid love them and people are amazed you con do in on the egg. I cook the on the "release" foil on a pizza stone, on the platesetter 400 - 450 degrees.[p]Mmmmm!

My Large BGE stone isn't as seasoned as my wife's Pampered Chef Stone, so I used it directly. I simply sprayed lightly per the recipe. The cookies came off without a hitch. I'm just glad the Egg can live up to my bravado!

Big Tom,[p]My pampered chef stone doesn't need spraying. It has YEARS of use and is well seasoned. I was afraid to use it on the egg. Didn't someone post that their pampered chef stuff wasn't heavy duty enough for the egg?
