Egg Laughs At Rain

Last night I was in the dinner rotation and grilled chops was on the menu.  A cold front had rolled in with a lot of rain.  It was raining straight out of the north, blowing against the back of my egg.  I had never tried to light it in weather like this.  I am a butane torch guy and proceded to add some lump and fired the center for about 3 min tops.  It glowed as water poured in wetting the surrounding lump.  I put the plate setter in and watched water falling and wetting it through the open dasiy wheel.

And you know what happened after I changed my soaked pants and put on some rain wear?  It not only lit, but came directly up to 375 and marched on while my wife called me a fool for grilling in the rain.  What can I say other than I am a stupid man who likes to grill, and my Egg is all it is cracked up to be and then some.  Chops were great.
