I would recommend Danny to anyone out there that wants to add a little customization to their egg. I submitted an idea for my handle and he took the time to research it on his own and improve on the design. I could not be more happy with the quality and workmanship. Thank you Shawn for letting me know your father did these handles a couple months ago. Even though I have thanked your dad several times please tell him thank you again for me!!!!

I thought it was against forum rules and ettiqutte to post links to self promote....

"While we recognize that some forum members are also active as suppliers to the BGE community, we do insist that commercialism be kept in check. Please don't spam the forum with posts touting links intended to sell products, or blatantly attempt to self-promote your business or generate traffic to other websites or forums, etc. If this occurs, your posts will be deleted and your account may be temporarily suspended or banned permanently. Spamming also includes unsolicited private messages or material to a large number of different users, so don't try that either"

    Right from rules and disclaimer.

Keeps you from opening the lid for a quick peek during a long cook.

I have four of Danny's Handles, the latest is on my mini.  They are works of art first and handles second.

If you can't see that sharing neat ideas and blatantly advertising for a product you're making money on are totally different then I don't know what to tell you. Links for products are tossed around here all day, just not by the ones who stand to profit from the advertising.

Btw, I think the handles are really nice, I just dont want this place to be opened up to a forum of product pushing.

Mighty Quinn- you are fighting a losing battle here. I would be willing to bet that you are not going to find many people that are upset with Shawn for sharing a link to his dad for these handles. I am certainly thrilled that I ran across the link so I could get my custom handle made. I would not have even known it was possible to get a custom handle without the link. Again, thank you Shawn and Danny!!!!!!

Btw I didn't post it to promote my dad handles. I kept getting emails on how to get is info to order handles. So I decided to share the link to my blog where his info is posted. If helping a fellow egghead a crime by providing them info then I will leave this forume an stay at green eggers.com where everybody else disappeared to and where help is appreciated. My dad is retired and does them has a hobby and trust me he is not doing them for the money! He does them because he loves carving!

Clearly you're right mike, but I stand by my position that this place shouldnt be used an advertising medium by those with something to sell.
