set out tonight to fire up my first pizzas in the egg - both complete successes!
#1 - sausage, granny smith apples & blue cheese (that's it, no sauce) - a combo that my wife turned me onto when we first started dating 15 years ago....fabulous flavor combinations!
#2 - sausage, mushrooms, turkey pepperoni, sauce, mozzarella
dough was premade trader joes garlic/herb. next time I'm going to try my hand at making my own..
both came out great! used the adjustable rig with oval stone on the bottom and pizza stone on top of stock grid....500F dome temp. Both took about 15 minutes.
