We’re feeling pretty super, how about you? The big game is fast approaching, and while we love football, we love an excuse to invite people over and cook even more! You too can cook like a champion with recipes from Dr. BBQ’s NFL Gameday Cookbook: Grilled Tuna Sandwiches from Seattle and Baked Brie from New England. Who’s going to win? You’ll have to cook both to find out.

First try at ABTs

I smoked a BB this weekend to enjoy with company and figured since I had the egg burning, I should try ABTs.  I used a half pound of italian sausage and cream cheese for the filling and sliced the jalapeno's lengthwise.  Cooked them about 45 minutes at 400 on the dome.  They were a big hit with everyone and I'll certainly be trying more complex recipes in the future.

@Mickey, do you just let your bacon grease fall to the fire?

@Chubbs:  Yes and no problem with it. Direct cook. This is also a good time to toss on a few sausage with say jap&chedder in them. We can have you up to 325lbs fast.....

I have always done mine with a drip pan which is why I was asking. They always tend to take forever because it is technically indirect that way I guess. I am going raised direct next time.
