First try at ABTs

I smoked a BB this weekend to enjoy with company and figured since I had the egg burning, I should try ABTs. I used a half pound of italian sausage and cream cheese for the filling and sliced the jalapeno's lengthwise. Cooked them about 45 minutes at 400 on the dome. They were a big hit with everyone and I'll certainly be trying more complex recipes in the future.

Adam I like to do them raised and direct at 400.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

@Chubbs: Yes and no problem with it. Direct cook. This is also a good time to toss on a few sausage with say jap&chedder in them. We can have you up to 325lbs fast.....

I have always done mine with a drip pan which is why I was asking. They always tend to take forever because it is technically indirect that way I guess. I am going raised direct next time.Columbia, SC --- LBGE 2011 -- MINI BGE 2013
