Enormous Piece of Cowboy lump!!!

Probably nothng new to you seasoned veterans, but I came across a huge piece of lump in my new bag of Cowboy lump tonight. It was a 10 lb bag and damn near took up 20% of the bag! Take a look below. I am not sure this comparison does it justice but you get the idea. I should have turned it the other way--- it was really thick. Do you just throw this in on the bottom of a long cook or break it up?

I have had a few that big in my lump. I have an XL but, I just dump it from the bag to the fire box. No need in having a fit over how to start a fire.

I'm calling B.S. on this. The fact that the beer has a cap on it is a dead give-away that it is photoshopped.

Capped means empty and/or covering the smell of my buddies putting out cigs in beer bottles on my porch. This egg has turned my house into a fraternity house :-w

I can assure you it is not photoshopped... why would I take the time to do that? If I took the time to photoshop the image, I would have cleaned up that nice drop of BBQ sauce on the wood beside it! What a damn slob...

Cowboy is notorious for weird stuff....NakedWiz has pictures of plywood found in a bag of Cowboy, and I have found rocks. Royal Oak is my go to for the Egg...it's not the best for every application, but I would call it the SWiss Army Knife of charcoal.

Cowboy is notorious for weird stuff....NakedWiz has pictures of plywood found in a bag of Cowboy, and I have found rocks. Royal Oak is my go to for the Egg...it's not the best for every application, but I would call it the SWiss Army Knife of charcoal.

I have found multiple rocks in my Cowboy. Is this common?

I unfortunately had to buy two bags of Cowboy (I prefer Royal Oak or Wegmans lump which is RO so I am told))and the large lump like what the OP has shown is what I got as well along with a few rock. It is what it is, but these comments do not surprise me based upon my personal experience.

In the past two months, I have been though 20lbs of BGE lump, 40lbs of RO, and 20lbs of Cowboy. Cowboy has by far the most consistent pieces. All of the RO I have gotten from WW have been very tiny pieces and the BGE had some large pieces but mainly small. I have had plugged vent holes only twice and both were with RO. Maybe I have been lucky, but experience has been better with Cowboy so far.
